We do not sell your data
Your genetic data is never sold, licensed, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Not to pharmaceutical companies. Not to insurers. Not to anyone. This is not a setting you can accidentally leave unchecked. It is how we operate.
GDPR processing in Europe
All sequencing and data processing occurs within the European Union, governed by the General Data Protection Regulation. Genetic data is classified as "special category data" under GDPR, receiving the highest level of legal protection available anywhere in the world.
You own your data. You can delete it.
Your genomic data belongs to you. You can download it, transfer it, or request complete deletion at any time. When you request deletion, we delete it. No retention periods. No hidden copies. No exceptions.
JURISDICTION
Where your data is processed matters.
Your sample is processed in our ISO 15189 accredited laboratory in Italy. Your data never leaves the European Union unless you explicitly request it. This means your genetic information is governed by GDPR from the moment your sample arrives to the moment you choose to delete it.
GDPR classifies genetic data as "special category data" under Article 9, requiring explicit consent for processing, purpose limitation, and granting you comprehensive rights over your information that no other jurisdiction provides.

Under GDPR, you have enforceable rights over your genetic data. These are not optional features. They are legal obligations we are required to fulfill. All requests are processed within 30 days.

Request complete erasure of your data from our systems. Permanent and irreversible.

Download your data in a standard format and transfer it to another provider.

Our laboratory meets the international standard for medical laboratory quality and competence. This covers sample handling, analysis, and data management.
Encryption at rest and in transit
All genomic data is encrypted using AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Access is restricted through role-based controls with comprehensive audit trails.

Every access to your data is logged. We maintain comprehensive audit trails that record who accessed what data and when, ensuring full accountability.

Data Controller
Dante Labs S.r.l., with registered office in Italy, acts as the data controller for all personal and genetic data collected through our services.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your genetic data based on your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)). You provide this consent when you order a test and again when you submit your sample. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account and wish to access your reports and raw data. Upon account deletion or erasure request, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
International Transfers
Your genetic data is processed and stored within the European Union. No transfers to third countries occur without your explicit consent and appropriate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V.
